Frédéric DOPAGNE

Professor

Frédéric Dopagne is a professor of public international law at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain), a visiting professor of international institutional law at the University of Liège (Belgium), and a guest professor of EU law at Sciences Po Lille (France). His areas of expertise include the law of immunities, diplomatic law, international responsibility and the law of international organizations. He has published on various topics of public international law and EU institutional law.

In connection with his practice of international law, he advises sovereign States, international organizations, corporations and individuals, and he further intervenes as an ad hoc expert in judicial or arbitral proceedings. His practice covers a wide range of issues of international law. He was a member of the Brussels Bar between 2010 and 2023.

As former Secretary-General of the Belgian Society of International Law (2017-2022), he is on the Board of the French Society for International Law as well as the editorial boards of the Belgian Review of International Law and Oxford International Organizations.
