What I enjoyed

I deeply enjoyed acquiring technical and specific knowledge about current world issues. Through this process, I gained a key to interpret the things around me that is extremely valuable.

What I learned

I originally did not have a legal background, so I felt like my mind expanded threefold! I learned both the legal framework and the aspects specific to each current topic, but more than that, I learned a new way to approach issues and think about things, which has already been valuable in my everyday and professional life.

Why I would recommend it

I would definitely recommend this programme to ambitious people and professionals who want to become well-rounded individuals and have a mindful and active presence in the world. The professors and members of the cohort really make this programme special as they provide an inspiring community to belong to and learn from.

UCLouvain provided me with a comprehensive education in international law through its fully remote degree programme. The MOOCs are extremely detailed and the live sessions are unbeatable in terms of topicality. The professors and lecturers were always available and helpful. I recommend this degree programme to anyone who wants a good and flexible course of studies.

Being part of the first class of the LL.M. in International Law at UC Louvain is a source of pride, as the teaching is of very high quality and the standards are clearly high. I will now be able to apply the skills I have acquired to my doctoral research. I learned a great deal from my classmates, who came from all over the world, when we exchanged our views on international issues.

As a graduate of the LL.M. in International Law at UCLouvain, I can honestly say it was a great experience. The professors were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. The lectures and materials were comprehensive and directly relevant, providing me with a robust understanding of the field.

This program doesn’t just prepare you for a career; it prepares you to be an ambassador and a steward of what the Peace of Westphalia represents—a commitment to international order, diplomacy, and the pursuit of peace. It thoroughly prepared me for my field, and I highly recommend this LL.M. to anyone looking to specialize and make a meaningful impact.

It is a real honour to graduate as part of the inaugural cohort of this LLM. I had long wanted to deepen my knowledge of international law, both out of personal interest and because it is essential to my professional field.

Since taking my first UCLouvain international law MOOC in 2018, the programme has accompanied me through my studies in Singapore, an internship in New Delhi, work with an international organisation in Seoul, and finally my time in Abu Dhabi, where I joined the first group of online LLM students and graduated in October 2025.

In today’s world, there is no better moment to study international law and perhaps no better place to study it online with Uclouvain: what we learn in class connects directly to real-world developments and shapes how I understand and engage with global affairs every day.

I strongly recommend this LLM for its excellent faculty, supportive learning environment, and truly diverse and global cohort.
